Water – The first way to monitor your body

Do you know enough about water and what it can do for your body? Water is essential to everyone’s life, without it you would be dead in about 3 days. Our body is mostly composed of 75 percent water, which helps perform many life-sustaining tasks. Most people do not drink enough water in a day and are dehydrated. Those people will need more water to get their bodies back to a normal functioning body. Water regulates all functions of the body. A lack of water metabolism of the body produces a variety of signals, indicating a system disturbance in the particular functions associated with the water supply and its natural regulation. Water shortage in different areas of the body will manifest varying symptoms, signals and complications now labeled as disease. There is no reserve of water in the body to draw upon. Fruit and vegetables contain over 90% water so they should be eaten during the day to help with hydration. Melons, grapes and oranges are about 98% water. Drink water a short time before a meal, not during the meal and then about a half hour after the meal to help you feel more full and to eat less.

Water moves the food through the intestines and flushes the toxins from our blood, organs and cells. It doesn’t take long for the body to become dehydrated.
